Encouraging younger players is vital, and at Hampton Court Palace, we hold Junior Academy in term time after school and at weekends, as well as providing camp options in the holidays.
In term time, Junior Academy sessions are held after school and at weekends, aimed at giving children the skills to get onto the course. Separated by age group, juniors work to levels that are colour coded according to their ability.
” A kid grows up a lot faster on the golf course. Golf teaches you how to behave.” – Jack Nicklaus
All ages are welcome for full day and half day sessions at our holiday camps, which offer children a great opportunity to learn vital skills with more time to put them into practice. Developing skills through games, and employing them in real world golf situations on the course, juniors are given a realistic idea of what professional golfing is like.
For less experienced juniors, who want to develop their all round game, Birdie camp runs from 9am to 12pm, and is focussed on instilling basic foundational skills before they move up a level
For players with a bit more experience, Eagle camp is aimed at improving course skills prior to juniors moving into playing on the course. This runs from 9am to 4pm.
